John Barera brings the goods for his second solo effort on Supply Records, the label he founded with Berlin based producer Soren Jahan. John's experience as a mainstay of New York City's underground house and techno scene shines in the Way Finder EP. The straight-to-business opener "A Lot Of Illusions" powers through twisted acid lines with constant momentum, some of John's most raw work to date. Things get deeper and more soulful with "New Club Theory (Occult Mix)", a heady synthesizer trip walking the line between house and techno in the classic Supply Records style.

With "Rain Pockets" the EP spreads its wings and all the jam sessions and collaborations over the past years come together. Low-slung and soulful, with live instrumentation and a beautiful vocal climax, this cut makes great listening in any context- whether an opening or closing track in the club or a warm summer night's sunset drive. "The Builders" brings things back to the dancefloor with a proper acid- infused techno cut, before "Way Finder" closes the EP with another warm rush of live funk.
